Water notices for businesses reopening following pandemic closure

As businesses affected by the pandemic begin to reopen, NPU wants to remind our commercial customers who were closed for that past several weeks that water inside your building’s plumbing has likely become stagnant during this time.   This water can become unsafe to drink or otherwise use for domestic or commercial purposes.

NPU Board of Commissioners/Sewer Authority Meetings will be available online due to coronavirus pandemic

Due the closure of NPU to the public as a precaution from the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Norwich Board of Public Utilities Commissioners and Sewer Authority meetings scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020 will be made available to the public through a WebEx link.  Citizens wishing to address the Board during the Public Comment period may do so online.  Click for more information.

NPU provides Reliance Health with $28,145 rebate for energy-efficiency project

On Tuesday, February 18, Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) presented Reliance Health with a rebate for $28,145 following the successful completion of a large-scale energy efficiency project.  As a result of this project, Reliance Health will realize a savings of more than $12,000 on their annual energy costs.
