NPU approves framework for Inter-Municipal Agreement with Bozrah, Franklin, Lisbon, Preston and Sprague for wastewater capacity

During the September meeting of the Sewer Authority of the City of Norwich, Commissioners approved the framework of a 20-year, inter-municipal agreement with the Towns of Bozrah, Franklin, Lisbon, Preston and Sprague to provide wastewater plant capacity. On September 3, 2019, Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) presented a check for $61,000 to Sovereign Management, the owners of the Shannon Building in Downtown Norwich, following the completion of a significant energy efficiency project. As a result of the project, the owner’s annual energy costs will be reduced by $82,000.

NPU completes largest natural gas project of the year

Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) has completed its largest natural gas construction project for the 2019 construction season, replacing 5,800 feet of natural gas main along Hamilton Avenue between East Main Street and Smith Avenue.
