Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) has launched an exciting new program called Cooling & Heating Incentive Pilot Program (CHIPP).

CHIPP is an incentive program that aims to help our existing electric customers that heat primarily with oil or propane gas to convert to a more energy-efficient electric cold-climate air source heat pump system. A heat pump system not only heats your home efficiently during cold weather months, it also provides central air cooling during the heat of the summer. 

NPU will provide participants with a $1,200 per ton rebate (based on size of system) toward the purchase and installation of a heat pump. A heat pump can reduce your heating and cooling energy costs for years to come.
