We want to help you save money and conserve energy by making your home more energy efficient. Enjoy the benefits of saving energy all year long — save on heating costs in the winter and cooling costs in the summer!

NPU has contracted with Lantern Energy to perform this service. In one easy visit, Lantern’s certified technicians will:

  1. Conduct an overall health and safety check of your house, including a combustion appliance zone test and carbon monoxide (CO) test.
  2. Perform a blower door test to find and correct air leakage around your house.
  3. Perform a duct blast test to find and correct air leakage in ductwork.
  4. Upgrade your lighting from incandescent bulbs to LED bulbs.
  5. Install water and water heating energy-saving measures including low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators, and pipe insulation.
  6. Make suggestions for additional measures and steps to improve energy efficiency.
  7. Provide special rebate offers for replacing inefficient home appliances and installing additional attic wall and attic insulation (as applicable).

This HES program is offered to 1-4 unit homes.  Any building exceeding 4 units must receive preapproval.  Your only cost for these services is a $50.00 co-pay (per unit).
