Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) has received three national commendations from the American Public Power Association (APPA) for its mutual aid efforts in Puerto Rico, Florida and the US Virgin Islands in 2017 and 2018.
On Wednesday, August 29, Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) will begin the work of replacing an 80-foot span of natural gas main that traverses the 8th Street Canal Bridge in the Greeneville section of Norwich.
On Monday, July 23, crews from Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) will begin a project to replace nearly 2,000 feet of cast-iron natural gas piping with safer, modern piping. This work will take place along West Thames Street, from Dunham Street to Bushnell Place and should be complete by October.
