15 Commercial customers earn $154,145 in Q4 rebates
15 Commercial customers of NPU completed efficiency upgrades during 4th quarter 2018, earning $154,145 in rebates by investing in energy efficient upgrades and improvements.
Backus Hospital continued to install LEDs throughout their campus for a total Q4 rebate of $3,100 for interior lights and $17,274 for new parking lot lights.
Eastern CT Savings Bank (ECSB) completed upgrades to their downtown building during 2018 by installing new water sourced heat pumps. ECSB’s building renovation project included upgrades for both the bank, and its tenants DocXellent, the Law Office of Michael Jewell and the Riess Agency. This work earned the bank a rebate for lighting and HVAC of more than $37,000.
New London County Insurance invested $48,200 in new LED streetlights for their parking lot and earned a rebate of $11,330; the company will also save nearly $7,000 each year on their energy costs.
Small commercial customers took advantage of our programs as well – Dixie Donuts replaced their lights for a rebate of $2,125, and Lafayette Dental installed another split system heat pump for a Cool Choice rebate of $2,320
In 2018, NPU provided commercial and industrial customers with rebates for lighting, heating, cooling, and motor controls that totaled just over $445,000.
