Stackstone Group announces downtown Norwich revitalization project

The Stackstone Group announces the launch of its revitalization project of downtown Norwich.  The company has partnered with Norwich Community Development Corporation (NCDC), Patriquin Architects, and several engineering and construction firms to transform multiple properties on Broadway. Construction is scheduled to begin in this summer and continue through summer of 2018.

The downtown project will include eighteen residential units at 26-28 Broadway, and four residential units at both 51-53 Broadway and 59-61 Broadway. Each apartment will feature high-end amenities such as quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring, and modern smart-home technology.  All locations will also provide a ground-floor commercial space for new restaurants, bistros, and shops.

The team has also begun pursuing LEED Certification for at least two of the buildings, in an effort to demonstrate environmental responsibility and a commitment to green development practices.  LEED is a world-renowned standard for green buildings, and translates into benefits for residents in the form of lower energy bills, cleaner air quality, and a higher quality of life.

Randy Persaud, CEO of Stackstone Group says, “This project is incredibly exciting for our team. We fell in love with the charm and beauty of Historic Downtown Norwich, and we’re thrilled at the opportunity to give Broadway some new life.”

The cost of all three projects is expected to total over $2.2 million. To assist with the outlay, Stackstone Group has leveraged a combination of personal financing and private investors. Additionally, the firm is working alongside the NCDC to explore funding resources through the organization's various grant assistance programs.
