NPU defends title at 10th Annual NEPA Lineworkers Rodeo

At Norwich Public Utilities, we are very proud of the longstanding and important role we have played in our community since 1904. For more than 112 years, the men and women of NPU have been there for our customers, responding to any imaginable issue or concern, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Jeff Brining of Norwich Public Utilities receives Department of Defense Patriot Award

Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) Division Manager Jeff Brining was recently presented with a Patriot Award by Tom Pandolfi, Vice Chair of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Andrew Shetland, an NPU employee serving in the Connecticut Army National Guard, nominated Brining, his immediate supervisor, and NPU for supporting him and his family while deployed.


14 NPU Commercial Customers earn $116,570 in Rebates in Q3

Customers leverage rebate programs for energy-efficient lighting, equipment.

Fourteen commercial and industrial customers of NPU participated in efficiency programs during the third quarter of 2016, resulting in  $116,570 in rebates for installing energy-efficient lighting and equipment.


CMEEC, NPU open Largest Solar and Energy Storage System in Connecticut

The Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative (CMEEC) and Norwich Public Utilities (NPU), in partnership with SolarCity and Brightfields Development, opened the largest solar and energy storage system in Connecticut in August.
