NPU requests community’s help identifying burned out streetlights


With daylight savings time ending on November 5, 2017, Norwich Public Utilities wishes to remind its customers of the importance of notifying NPU when a streetlight is burned out or flickering. 

“As the days get shorter, for the safety and security of our community it is important that our streetlights are in good working order,” says John Bilda, NPU General Manager.  “We need the community’s help identifying which lights need replacing.”

To report a burned out or flickering streetlight, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the pole number and location (including nearest cross street and the information will be added to the streetlight repair task list. 

Issues with streetlights can also be reported by calling NPU’s Customer Service Center at 860-887-2555, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
